Ocean State Card Con isn’t just a convention. It’s Rhode Island’s entry point into the card hobby. Twice a year, OSCC brings together 100+ tables of sports cards, Pokémon, Magic, and other TCGs alongside artists, nonprofits, learn to play spaces, and casual gaming. It’s built so a serious collector, a kid opening their first pack, and someone who has never touched a card game can all walk in and know exactly where they fit. But the convention is only part of it. Between shows, OSCC runs Learn to Play sessions across Rhode Island and partners with local businesses, libraries, and community spaces to create smaller events that keep people engaged year round. The goal is simple: remove the barriers that make this hobby feel confusing, expensive, or closed off, and replace them with clear entry points and real human connection.
